Tasting Notes: The nose is rounded. There are notes of brown sugar and dried black cherries. A touch of sweet oak on the back to showcase the age. While the oak is subtle initially, it quickly evolves to eucalyptus and herbal notes.
While the nose is great, this comes alive on the palate. Loads of toffee, black tea, cloves, dried fig and custard. It's a balancing act you don't often see in bourbon aged this long. The sweetness is still there. The oak and tannins play nicely while showcasing dried fruit and herbal notes. All of this leads to a long, cedar box and aged tobacco finish.
