Tasting Notes: Lots of dried cherry and tobacco on the nose continuing with aged leather. Nuanced, complex spices add to the intrigue with plenty of accompanying sweetness. Balanced is an understatement here. The palate is expansive, with warm cherry cobbler topped with heavy whipped cream. Plenty of brown sugar to glaze over the entire profile, giving almost an old fashioned-like balance to the sweetness while still supported with fantastic oak. The finish is slowly trailing with spiced caramel and well-seasoned oak. This is an impressive and elegant aged whiskey.
